3D Modelling

Using your 2D plans and elevation technical drawings as a starting point, we create the architectural model of the building or structure using a range of modelling software depending on the desired use of the finished model. Our models are very accurate as we use the exact specifications and dimensions from the technical drawings. Our next step is UV unwrapping or adding textures and colours to your model to truly represent the design. Once the model has been textured and coloured it is ready to use for realistic renders, visualisations, video animations and 3D printing.

3D Printing

3D Printing is also known as additive manufacturing. It is a process of bringing digital 3D models from your computer to life by creating a tangible 3D object. The potential uses and applications of 3D printing are endless. The technology is advancing all the time with new types of printing and newer materials becoming available regularly. With the advancements of new printing methods and materials comes greater print quality, detail and strength, but for the superior quality and higher resolution models it is necessary to make use of professional, industrial grade printers. Not only do we provide a selection of cutting edge printing options, but our expertise and experience will ensure that the highest quality and accuracy is achieved. At the same time we work towards to minimise the overall material and time costs, in order to provide the best value possible for our customers.

3D printing scale models is a quicker, more accurate way of making a physical model of the building. The printer gets the data from the 3D model which has been produced using plans of the building. Because 3D printing takes less time and people to complete the model it is also much cheaper than the traditional methods of hand crafting each part. Our printer also prints in full colour so there is no need for painting after it has been finished.

Visualisations & Animations

Using your 3D model we can create stunningly realistic CGI renders and animations. These renders are useful for visual communication, allowing you to see what the finished property would look like complete with furnishings, plant life, vehicles and people. We can put the property in the desired location to see how it fits in with the existing structures and even test how it would look at specific times of the day. Animations are another way to give a better perspective of the property, animating walk-throughs, exploded views and fly overs. These are invaluable for marketing and sales, helping to promote the structures before they are built so investors or clients can picture the final result.

3D Model Viewers

3D model viewers are another great way to show off your building, we can load you model into an online viewer or we can build you a custom viewer that suits you needs. These viewers can come complete with annotations, making them very useful for explaining the model when you cant be there in person. The notes can be pinned to the exact location you are talking about to mark the important parts.. The 3D viewer can also be displayed in virtual reality, putting you right in the scene with the model giving you a a life like perspective of the building.

Our Printers

3D SYSTEMS PROJET CJP 460PLUS

Colour Jet Printing (CJP) technology produces high-resolution, true colour,  realistic models and prototypes. With an 8x10x8 inch build chamber, and packing 300×450 DPI resolution, the Projet CJP 460plus is our most popular printer to use.

UNIQUE FULL COLOUR

Featuring CMYK capabilities, this printer precisely creates the look, feel, and style of product designs, eliminating the need to use paint after to achieve a realistic effect. The printers multiple print heads means the best range of accurate and consistent colours, including gradients.

LOWER OPERATING COST

The Projet CJP 460plus utilises an innovative material recycling process, so you only pay for the exact amount of material necessary for the job and no more. After printing, unused core materials are recouped by the machine, ready to use again. This system, along with good 3D model preparation to minimise material requirements, allows us to keep our printing cost down as much as possible for you, our customers.

FASTEST PRINT SPEED

Colour Jet Printing technology enables models to be created within hours, not days. This high throughput allows for greater efficiency in the printing of larger models, or many multiple iterations of a model.

HOW COLOUR JET PRINTING WORKS

CJP involves two main components; the core and the binder. Core materials, which is a fine white powder, is spread in thin layers over the build chamber with a roller. After each layer is spread, colour binder is selectively jetted from inkjet print heads over the core layer, causing the core to solidify. The build platform lowers with each subsequent layer of core and binder until the model is complete. After a drying period, the models is moved to a depowering chamber where excess core material is carefully removed with pressured air. It is now ready to be infiltrated and touched up as required. The finished model is now ready for shipping.

STRATASY OBJET30 PRO

Featuring PolyJet™ technology, this printer is ideally suited for consumer product prototyping, precision tooling and specialised production parts. With outstanding productivity, it can quickly create delicate and complex models, in a wide range of material options.

HOW POLYJET PRINTING WORKS

The printing process works similarly to an inkjet paper printer. But except instead of ink, the print head jets layer of liquid photopolymer onto a build tray, this is instantly cured by UV light. Many of these fine layers build up to create a prototype or production part. As well as the chosen model material, a gel-like, non-toxic support material is also printed. This is easily removed after printing  with water jets, minimising the post-printing processing time required.

MATERIALS

Choice of over 8 distinct 3D printing materials in many colour options. This includes rigid, tough, and durable plastics, capable of forming working parts such as hinges and snap-fit clips. As well as materials aimed at producing flexible or soft touch components. Create clear models with great dimensional stability, or even parts that are bio-compatible.
